I was not planning on writing a post today but I was lucky enough to check my mail box and notice instead of bills I had a lovely package in the mail all the way from the U.S. I was so excited when I opened it and realized it was a book I had won last month and it is a book I had already read thanks to NetGalley and loved I ended up giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I had to share my excitement with some fellow book lovers as my husband thinks I am crazy jumping around like a crazy person over a book.
The book I am so excited about is called The Upside of Falling Down by Rebekah Crane. This is the first book of hers I have ever read and I could not put it down and I think anyone who loves a Romance/Contemporary novel will love this book. So I thought as well as sharing my excitement I would also share my short review I added on Goodreads.
“I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review”
They tell her she’s the lone survivor of a plane crash. They tell her she’s lucky to be alive. But she doesn’t feel lucky. She feels…lost.
Hiding out in the sleepy town of Waterville, Ireland, Clementine discovers there’s an upside to a life that’s fallen apart. But as her lies grow, so does her affection for Kieran, and the truth about her identity becomes harder and harder to reveal, forcing Clementine to decide: Can she leave her past behind for a new love she’ll never forget?
This was such an addictive read and I would say it’s one of my favorites of the year. I started this book and I only planned to read a chapter before bed but I end up finishing it in one sitting.
I was shocked with some of the twists in the story which made the story even better. I felt so many emotions reading this book and it left me wanting more. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars and the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I had so many questions on what happens to Clementine and Kieran in the future. I wanted more at the end.
This is a book I can not wait to get my hands on the physical copy of as soon as I can to add to my collection, everyone needs to read this book.
I will also add that the characters where so well written and I fell in love with them as individuals and as a group. This book also made me want to travel to Ireland because when reading I felt like I was there and it seems like such a beautiful place to go.
I really don’t know what else to say about this book without giving away spoilers so all I will say is get this book and read it yourself its a great light but intense read.
If anyone else has read this what did you think ? I would love to hear your thoughts.
