Hello Book Lovers,
I decided to write a list of TOMES I need/want to finish before the end of 2018. I always seem to put them off due to the sheer size of the books and I always regret it because then they begin to stack up (which they have now) and I can never seem to catch up. So as of next month, I plan to read at least one book a month so all up I want to get to 10 books. One of the books on my list is not out yet but does come out next month and I want to get to that as soon as possible.
My Book List
- A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas pgs. 699
- Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas pgs. 664
- Carry On by Rainbow Rowell pgs. 528
- The Diviners by Libba Bray pgs. 578
- Obsidio by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman pgs. 624
- Mortal Coil by Derek Landy pgs. 604
- Death Bringer by Derek Landy pgs. 603
- The Break by Marian Keyes pgs. 576
- Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare pgs. 698
- Renegades by Marissa Meyer pgs. 556
If I finish this list I will post another list of books, like I said I have a heap stacked up due to not getting to them. Looking at the list it does seem a little daunting but I know I can do it if I break it up into a book a month.
So what TOMES do you have on your list to read this year? I would love to hear what they are.
Hello, again book lovers,
I am very excited to announce that I can finally participate in one of ReadbyZoes Readathon. ReadbyZoe is an amazing youtuber who not only has Readathons throughout the year but also posts videos reviewing books.
This Readathon is taking place on March the 3rd from 12:00am to 11:59pm no matter what timezone you are in. I have decided on five books I would at least try to get too (I would even be happy if I get to read 2 of them). ReadbyZoe has not set a theme for this round but she plans to read books in a series that she needs to get too, so I plan to do the same.
MY BOOK LIST
- Three’s A Charm by Robyn Peterman
- Fashionably Flawed by Robyn Peterman
- Forbidden Temptation by Teresa Gabelman
- Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire
- Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire
Like I said above I would be happy to even read 2 of the 5 books in the Readathon but I wanted to make sure that I had a handful of books to chose from just in case I had a really good reading day or I didn’t feel like reading that book on that day.
If you are taking part leave a comment and let me know what you are reading. I would love to know.
Bye for now and I hope you are all having an amazing day.
I was not planning on writing a post today but I was lucky enough to check my mail box and notice instead of bills I had a lovely package in the mail all the way from the U.S. I was so excited when I opened it and realized it was a book I had won last month and it is a book I had already read thanks to NetGalley and loved I ended up giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I had to share my excitement with some fellow book lovers as my husband thinks I am crazy jumping around like a crazy person over a book.
The book I am so excited about is called The Upside of Falling Down by Rebekah Crane. This is the first book of hers I have ever read and I could not put it down and I think anyone who loves a Romance/Contemporary novel will love this book. So I thought as well as sharing my excitement I would also share my short review I added on Goodreads.
“I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review”
They tell her she’s the lone survivor of a plane crash. They tell her she’s lucky to be alive. But she doesn’t feel lucky. She feels…lost.
Hiding out in the sleepy town of Waterville, Ireland, Clementine discovers there’s an upside to a life that’s fallen apart. But as her lies grow, so does her affection for Kieran, and the truth about her identity becomes harder and harder to reveal, forcing Clementine to decide: Can she leave her past behind for a new love she’ll never forget?
This was such an addictive read and I would say it’s one of my favorites of the year. I started this book and I only planned to read a chapter before bed but I end up finishing it in one sitting.
I was shocked with some of the twists in the story which made the story even better. I felt so many emotions reading this book and it left me wanting more. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars and the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I had so many questions on what happens to Clementine and Kieran in the future. I wanted more at the end.
This is a book I can not wait to get my hands on the physical copy of as soon as I can to add to my collection, everyone needs to read this book.
I will also add that the characters where so well written and I fell in love with them as individuals and as a group. This book also made me want to travel to Ireland because when reading I felt like I was there and it seems like such a beautiful place to go.
I really don’t know what else to say about this book without giving away spoilers so all I will say is get this book and read it yourself its a great light but intense read.
If anyone else has read this what did you think ? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Hello Fellow Book Lovers,
I know it has been a good long while since I have posted but I wanted to let you know I am back and plan to post a lot more regularly.
The last few months have been hard for my family and I due to me being extremely unwell for a very long period of time, but now I seem to be on the mend and back to my old self.
Even though I have been unwell I still have been reading way to many books and have found some new favourites. I also found a new site called NetGalley where I can now request kindle arcs and I suggest and book blogger/review to give it ago.
I hope you have all had an amazing few months and have found some amazing books along the way. I look forward to posting again and I hope you all enjoy the upcoming content.
Goodbye for now
