Son of No One and #ReadingQuest

Hello again Book Addicts,

Welcome to another post about the #ReadingQuest and my progress on the Mage path. Since I last blogged I have managed to complete two squares on the board and now on to the third.

The first square I completed since my last blog was A BOOK BASED ON MYTHOLOGY and for that challenge I read Son of No One.

Title: Son of No One

Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon

Pages: 420

Rating: 4 Stars

EXP and Health points: EXP Points 10, Health Points 42

This book is the 25th book in the Dark Hunter series and this book was the next book I had to read so I was really happy when this book could be read to complete this challenge.

I have loved this series so much and this book as much as I loved the continuation of the story I felt a little flat compared so most of the other books. The romantic story line between Josette and Cadegan (the two main characters) seemed very rushed. Also Josette was a firm believer that gods and the supernatural did not exist so when she realized it did, I felt like she would not adjust so quickly. I did enjoy the humor, romance and the mythology within this book even with the rushed story line and am excited to read the next book within the series.

The second square I finished was a side quest and the square I completed was THE MINI GAME and for that challenge I read The Assassin and the Pirate Lord a Throne of glass novella.

Title: The Assassin and the Pirate Lord

Author: Sarah J. Maas

Pages: 70

Rating: 4 stars

EXP and Health points: 10 EXP Points 7 Health Points

This is a novella about Celaena and Sam before she became the kings assassin in book one. This book was perfect for a back story on some of the adventures Celaena went on and gave me more insight on who she was before losing Sam. I am a big fan of the Throne of Glass series but find it hard sometimes reading them due to how long the story is and how serious the writing style is, so the novellas are perfect as they are not as long.

I am excited to read the rest of the novellas and book four and five in the series (as well as anymore that come out). This is an amazing world with such detail given by Sarah J Maas.

The next square I have started to tackle is A BOOK SET IN A DIFFERENT WORLD. The book I am reading for this challenge is Queen of Shadows, the forth book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas.

I hope everyone who is taking part of the quest is having as much fun as I am and enjoying the books they are reading.

Bye for now Book Addicts.
